How about you? What preconception do you have about an age where it is “too late to get in shape”?
Almost every person I’ve ever met has thought that they could be in better shape but only a very small percentage of people are actively working a plan to get them into better shape. How about you? Is it too late for you to get in shape?
Of course not. You just need to follow some simple guidelines to improve your health and exercise properly. Sounds simply but why aren’t more people in better shape?
Too late to get in shape … when you retire?
One excuse we often hear is that “I don’t have time to eat right and exercise.” but doesn’t that excuse go out the window when you retire? If you were truthful, wasn’t the real answer that you didn’t put a high enough priority on exercise and when you retire, you are still not likely to change your exercise schedule? Yes, we ask the hard questions here at Greatness After 50 !
So, what is holding you back? It is not too late to get in shape !
Do something today that is different from yesterday and move in a better direction. Take it one day at a time and don’t worry if you slide back some days. The key is consistency and to keep moving toward the body of your dream. And if that doesn’t work, go for a run with a beautiful member of the opposite sex and chase that “body of your dreams”! Either way, you will be healthier for it !
